5 Little Pumpkins

The Junebug Weekly
October 4th and 6th

Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Everywhere!

The Creative Corner
5 Little Pumpkins...

Tuesday-October 4th
Pumpkin Parts
Junebugs will observe as their teacher cuts open a big, orange pumpkin to reveal what is inside.  They will love getting their hands dirty as they touch the pulp and find the seeds.

Pumpkin Picassos
Junebugs will use their imaginations and a variety of art materials to decorate a card stock pumpkin.

Pumpkin Cookies
Junebugs will roll out sugar cookie dough and use cookie cutters to make pumpkin shaped cookies for snack time.

Thursday-October 6th
Seed Sorting
Junebugs will practice counting and sorting (by color) brightly dyed pumpkin seeds.  They will then glue them to a piece of construction paper to create an abstract work of art.

Paper Bag Pumpkin
Junebugs will use their fine motor skills to shred tissue paper and stuff it into paper bags to turn them into fat little pumpkin decorations.

Toasted Seed Tasting
Junebugs will help their teachers to toast and then taste test salted pumpkin seeds.
